1. About us
These terms apply to all services provided by The Gutter Guys (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading from Yahwehs Place, Seven Springs, Cheltenham. By booking a job with us you accept these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotes are free, fixed in writing before any work begins, and valid for 30 days from the date issued. Quotes are based on the information provided; if access, property size or condition differ materially on the day, we'll discuss any change with you before proceeding.
3. Bookings & cancellations
Bookings are confirmed by text or email with an arrival window. You can rearrange or cancel free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a £35 contribution towards lost time, at our discretion.
4. Access & safety
It is the customer's responsibility to provide reasonable safe access to the work area, including unlocked side gates and vehicle parking where required. We work to full RAMS and will not undertake work we consider unsafe; in that case any deposit will be refunded in full.
5. Pricing & payment
The price quoted is the price invoiced — no hidden extras, no day-rate creep. Payment is due on completion by bank transfer, card or cash. Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act where applicable.
6. Workmanship guarantee
We offer a written satisfaction guarantee on every job. If you're not happy with what we leave behind, contact us within 7 days and we will return to put it right at no further cost.
7. Pre-existing damage
We're not liable for pre-existing damage to gutters, fascias, seals, brackets or roof tiles that becomes apparent during cleaning. Where we identify such damage during a job we'll photograph it, notify you, and discuss options — we never carry out additional work without explicit approval.
8. Insurance
We hold £2 million public liability insurance with a UK-authorised insurer. Certificate available on request. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our negligence, please notify us within 48 hours so the matter can be addressed promptly.
9. Photographs
We routinely take before-and-after photos of the work area for quality assurance and to share with you on completion. We may also use anonymised photos (no addresses or identifying detail) for our website or marketing. If you'd rather we didn't, let us know in advance and we'll respect that.
10. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any single job is limited to the value of that job, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
